किशोर न्याय अधिनियम की धारा 53 JJ Act Section-53 के तहत किशोर न्याय बोर्ड (जेजेबी) वे सेवाएं, जो बालकों के पुनर्वास और पुनः मिलाने की प्रक्रिया में इस अधिनियम के अधीन रजिस्ट्रीकृत संस्थाओं द्वारा प्रदान की जाएंगी, ऐसी रीति में होंगी, जो विहित की जाएं, जिसमें निम्नलिखित हो सकेंगी।

इस अधिनियम के अधीन रजिस्ट्रीकृत संस्थाओं में पुनर्वास और पुनः मिलाने की सेवाएं और उनका प्रबंध–

(1) वे सेवाएं, जो बालकों के पुनर्वास और पुनः मिलाने की प्रक्रिया में इस अधिनियम के अधीन रजिस्ट्रीकृत संस्थाओं द्वारा प्रदान की जाएंगी, ऐसी रीति में होंगी, जो विहित की जाएं, जिसमें निम्नलिखित हो सकेंगी–
(i) विहित मानकों के अनुसार आधारभूत आवश्यकताएं, जैसे खाना, आश्रय, कपड़े और चिकित्सा सुविधा;
(ii) विशेष जरूरतों वाले बालकों के लिए उपस्कर, जैसे व्हील चेयर, प्रोस्थेटिक युक्तियां, श्रवण सहाय यंत्र, ब्रेल किट या यथापेक्षित कोई अन्य उपयुक्त साधन और साधित्र; 
(iii) विशेष जरूरतों वाले बालकों के लिए उपयुक्त शिक्षा, जिसके अंतर्गत अनुपूरक शिक्षा,विशेष शिक्षा और समुचित शिक्षा भी है: 
परंतु छह वर्ष से चौदह वर्ष के बीच की आयु वाले बालकों के लिए निःशुल्क और अनिवार्य बाल शिक्षा का अधिकार अधिनियम, 2009 (2009 का 35) के उपबंध लागू होंगे; 
(iv) कौशल विकास;
(v) उपजीविकाजन्य थेरेपी और जीवन कौशल शिक्षा; 
(vi) मानसिक स्वास्थ्य मध्यक्षेप, जिसके अंतर्गत बालक की जरूरत के लिए विनिर्दिष्ट परामर्श भी है; 
(vii) आमोद-प्रमोद क्रियाकलाप, जिसके अंतर्गत खेलकूद और सांस्कृतिक क्रियाकलाप भी है; 
(viii) विधिक सहायता, जहां अपेक्षित हो;
(ix) शिक्षा, व्यावसायिक प्रशिक्षण, निराव्यसन, रोगों के उपचार के लिए परामर्श सेवाएं, जहां अपेक्षित हों; 
(x) देखरेख प्रबंध, जिसके अंतर्गत व्यष्टिक देखरेख योजना की तैयारी और उसका चालू रहना भी है;
(xi) जन्म रजिस्ट्रीकरण;
(xii) पहचान का सबूत प्राप्त करने के लिए सहायता, जहां अपेक्षित हो; और
(xiii) कोई अन्य सेवा, जो बालक के कल्याण को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए राज्य सरकार, रजिस्ट्रीकृत या योग्य व्यष्टिकों या संस्थाओं द्वारा या तो प्रत्यक्षतः या परामर्श सेवाओं के माध्यम से युक्तियुक्त रूप से प्रदान की जा सके ।
(2) संस्था के प्रबंध और प्रत्येक बालक की प्रगति को मानीटर करने के लिए प्रत्येक संस्था की, ऐसी रीति में, जो विहित की जाए, स्थापित की गई एक प्रबंध समिति होगी ।
(3) छह वर्ष से ऊपर के बालकों को रखने वाली प्रत्येक संस्था का प्रभारी अधिकारी, बालकों को ऐसे क्रियाकलापों में भाग लेने के लिए, जो संस्था में बालकों की सुरक्षा और कल्याण के लिए विहित किए जाएं, बाल समितियां स्थापित करने को सुकर बनाएगा ।

Juvenile Justice Act Section-53 (JJ Act Section-53 in English)

Rehabilitation and re-integration services in institutions registered under this Act and management thereof–

(1) The services that shall be provided, by the institutions registered under this Act in the process of rehabilitation and re-integration of children, shall be in such manner as may be prescribed, which may include—
(i) basic requirements such as food, shelter, clothing and medical attention as per the prescribed standards;
(ii) equipment such as wheel-chairs, prosthetic devices, hearing aids, braille kits, or any other suitable aids and appliances as required, for children with special needs;
(iii) appropriate education, including supplementary education, special education, and appropriate education for children with special needs:
Provided that for children between the age of six to fourteen years, the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009) shall apply;
(iv) skill development;
(v) occupational therapy and life skill education;
(vi) mental health interventions, including counselling specific to the need of the child;
(vii) recreational activities including sports and cultural activities;
(viii) legal aid where required;
(ix) referral services for education, vocational training, de-addiction, treatment of diseases where required;
(x) case management including preparation and follow up of individual care plan;
(xi) birth registration;
(xii) assistance for obtaining the proof of identity, where required; and
(xiii) any other service that may reasonably be provided in order to ensure the well-being of the child, either directly by the State Government, registered or fit individuals or institutions or through referral services.
(2) Every institution shall have a Management Committee, to be set up in a manner as may be prescribed, to manage the institution and monitor the progress of every child.
(3) The officer in-charge of every institution, housing children above six years of age, shall facilitate setting up of childrens committees for participating in such activities as may be prescribed, for the safety and well-being of children in the institution.
