अध्याय X
178. जो कोई अपने कब्जे में कोई कूटरचित या नकली सिक्का, सरकार द्वारा राजस्व के प्रयोजन के लिए जारी किया गया स्टाम्प, करेंसी नोट या बैंक नोट रखेगा, यह जानते हुए या विश्वास करने का कारण रखते हुए कि वह कूटरचित या नकली है और उसे असली के रूप में उपयोग में लाने का या यह कि वह असली के रूप में उपयोग में लाया जा सकता है, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि सात वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से, दंडित किया जाएगा।

Chapter X
178. Whoever has in his possession any forged or counterfeit coin, stamp issued by Government for the purpose of revenue, currency-note or bank-note, knowing or having reason to believe the same to be forged or counterfeit and intending to use the same as genuine or that it may be used as genuine, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, or with fine, or with both.
